When was the last time you hopped out of bed and were excited to start your day?

If the answer is “I can’t remember,” you’re not alone.

Most people regard stiffness, sore spots, and pain in back and neck muscles as a normal part of getting older. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Life takes its toll, but most of these aches and pains are not inevitable. They’re caused by trigger points, which are tiny muscles spasms, and they are 100% treatable.

Trigger point massage therapy resets your muscles, allowing them to return to their natural, relaxed state, and letting you move freely again.

But where do these trigger points come from? They can get set off in a surprising variety of ways.

The triggers that often come to mind, a serious trauma like a car accident or a fall, are certainly one source.

But the vast majority of muscle aches come from everyday activities, such as too much sitting, hunching over a computer or staring at a phone.

Trigger points are also exacerbated by things like stress, a not-so-hot diet, and smoking. Trigger points are tricky customers. Besides causing a stiff back or neck, they can make you feel miserable in plenty of other ways, including migraines, digestive problems, and even heart arrhythmia.

Trigger points can also send or refer pain to other parts of the body, far from the origin. This can really make it difficult for you to figure out what’s going on.

Conventional medicine tends to offer prescriptions for pain pills or recommend even more drastic measures like surgery, but these do next to nothing to treat the root cause of the problem: trigger points.

Trigger point massage (aka neuromuscular therapy) is without question the best way to get rid of trigger points.

A single session can undo years of damage.

Regularly treatments are available to work on recurring problems.

Massage Revolution’s Back & Neck Relief Center is the largest trigger point massage clinic in Los Angeles and the world.

Life is short. Don’t waste another minute of it in pain. Call now to schedule your appointment. PPO insurance accepted and member savings plans are also available.

USE TRIGGER POINT MASSAGE TO RELEASE YOUR LATS

While a lot of muscles that cause pain are hidden away, invisible to the naked eye, the latissimus dorsi is not one of them. But bigger isn’t always better, especially when it comes to pain.

More commonly known as the lats, these important back muscles are the large, triangular-shaped ones you use to do perform big motions like swinging an axe or doing pull-ups. They’re also involved in breathing.

Pain in the lats can make it hard to bend your torso to the side. It can also make every breath agony.

Injuries from activities like strenuous exercise, sports, and shoveling are common causes of lat pain, but even everyday movements can cause trigger points to flare up.

Poor posture when sitting, standing or walking can also cause trigger points.

Trigger points in the lats cause pain on site right in the mid-back. But it can also refer pain elsewhere, including through the side of the body, down the back of the arm all the way into the pinkie side of the hand.

Trigger points in the lat muscles can also cause pain in the chest, hip, and abdominals, as well as muscle spasms, difficulty breathing, and even fever.

While a typical doctor will often diagnose the problem as tendonitis or nerve entrapment, the fact is that the vast majority of muscle pain is cause by trigger points.

To lasting relief, neuromuscular massage and trigger point therapy are your best options.

Trigger point massage works even if the trouble spot has been bothering you for months or years. Because neuromuscular massage gets to the root of the problem, it can free you from pain for good.

Why subject your body to drugs or surgery when there’s the totally natural option of trigger massage point therapy?

The Back & Neck Relief Center is the largest massage treatment center not only in LA, but in the entire world.

Just one session can have you back in the saddle, and back to living your best life.

A single treatment may be all you need to experience incredible relief.

Regular appointments are ideal for those whose job or lifestyle require it.

Stiff neck, torticollis, herniated disc, tension headache, neck strain, arthritis, these are just some of the common diagnoses for neck pain.

But the truth is that the number one cause of neck pain is trigger points.

Some 85% of all muscle pain is caused by trigger points.

Neuromuscular massage and trigger point massage therapy is the best way to deal with trigger point pain.

The anatomy of the neck is complicated. Dozens of muscles work together to hold up that 10-lb. bowling ball (aka your head) and allow it to move.

Any given muscle can have more than one trigger point, which adds up to a lot of potential for pain.

Trigger points in the neck can also refer or send pain elsewhere. The trouble may start in the neck, but spread down into the shoulders and arm or up into the head.

Trigger points can also cause other seemingly unrelated symptoms, including a runny nose, sore throat, or dizziness.

Doctors tend to diagnose the problem in terms of the symptoms, but giving you medicine for a headache will not solve the problem if it’s due to trigger points.

Trigger points may be latent or active. When they’re latent, they often feel like a deep ache, cause stiffness or soreness, and may limit range of motion.

Active trigger points are easy to find because they hurt like heck.

Trigger points in the front of the neck can be particularly sensitive.

Trigger points develop from a variety of causes. Accidents and injuries are one way, but under-and overuse are also common causes, such as sitting in a desk chair for too long, or using one that isn’t ergonomic for your body.

Spending too much time staring at your cell phone (aka text neck) is another popular culprit. Even an incorrect glasses prescription can set off trigger points.

In the case of physical trauma, even after the injury heals, the trigger points may linger, causing on-going pain and suffering.

While pain pills may help in the short run, trigger point therapy offers safe, 100% natural relief without resorting to meds.

Even better, neuromuscular massage offers long-term and even permanent relief because it gets at the root of the problem.

Trigger point therapy works even if you’ve been dealing with the issue for years.

Massage Revolution’s Back & Neck Relief Center is the best massage clinic in South Bay and greater Los Angeles. It employs the largest collection of trigger point massage therapists around the globe.

A single session of trigger point massage and neuromuscular therapy may be all you need to obtain lasting relief.

For those with recurring issues, regularly scheduled appointments are another option.

There is no need to live with neck pain, back pain, or any pain. Appointments are available today.

PPO insurance accepted. Member savings plans are also available.

It’s hot outside, but that doesn’t mean your shoulder can’t freeze up.

Injury, repetitive motion, and illnesses including diabetes are some of the causes of frozen
shoulder.

That said, frozen shoulder is one of those mysterious conditions that can crop up out of
nowhere.

Worse, it can last for years.

The good news is you can lose the pain and regain mobility without resorting to extreme
measures.

Neuromuscular trigger point massage therapy is 100% natural, offers effective relief and
involves no drugs or surgery.

Frozen shoulder acts differently in each person, but the overall gist is that the shoulder joint
swells up and becomes stiff, causing the shoulder to ‘freeze.’

Pain and lack of mobility in the shoulder are its hallmarks.

While the cause isn’t always clear, one thing people with frozen shoulder have in common is
trigger points.

Trigger points are tiny “landmine” knots and cramps in muscles that cause a lot of pain.
When it comes to frozen shoulder, the subscapularis muscle is a common culprit, and releasing
the trigger points in it helps to ‘thaw’ the shoulder.

Frozen shoulder isn’t the only problem people experience in the shoulder.

More generalized pain in back and neck muscles can also be caused by trigger points in the
rotator cuff muscles, as well as other muscles.

Trigger points also cause the muscles of the shoulder to weaken.

It’s not uncommon to experience pain around the wrist due to trigger points in the subscapularis.

This is known as referred pain.

No matter where you feel pain, neuromuscular massage and trigger point therapy help to
release the cramping and stiffness, allowing your muscles to return to their normal, relaxed,
pain-free state.

Even if your shoulder has been bothering you for months or years, trigger point massage will
help.

Massage Revolution’s Back & Neck Relief Center has the world’s largest and most skilled
neuromuscular massage team to fight your aches and pains with advanced training as shoulder,
neck, and back relief specialists.

Frozen shoulder is a complex problem, but even one session can offer incredible relief from
pain and stiffness.

Whether your problem is frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel or other pain including things like neck
pain, back pain and headaches, we’re here to help free you from suffering.

If you’re tired of being in pain, contact us today.

DON’T GET TRAPPED WITH TRAPEZIUS PAIN: TRY TRIGGER POINT MASSAGE

Back and neck pain affect everyone from school children to the elderly, and it’s one of the most common reasons people miss work.

It develops slowly over time, or suddenly when you lift a heavy object.

It makes it difficult to get out of bed, or makes your everyday life a drag.

It’s common to blame it on things like aging and accidents, yet the most common cause is actually trigger points.

Neuromuscular Trigger point massage releases those painful spots, allowing you to live a pain-free existence.

While trigger points, aka micro cramps in muscles, cause pain virtually anywhere in the body, they frequently cause pain in your neck and back muscles, particularly in the trapezius muscles of your upper back.

A joke among neuromuscular massage therapists is that trigger points in the traps are like opinions: everybody’s got one.

Your trapezius muscle is actually three muscles, upper, middle and lower.

They do different things and you may experience pain differently based on where your trigger points are.

Trigger points in the upper trapezius sends pain up the side of your neck into your temple area of the head, like a headache behind your eye, and into the base of your skull, down into the shoulder.

A trigger point in the middle trapezius produces a burning sensation along the shoulder blade.

In the lower trap, they produce pain near the tip of the shoulder.

Trigger points in the traps provoke trigger points in other muscles to develop as far away as your calves, creating an unwelcome proliferation of pain and stiffness all over your body.

Neuromuscular massage and trigger point therapy were designed to alleviate the pain for a long-term solution without resorting to drugs or surgery.

The good news is you don’t have to know where your trigger points are or how you got them.

It doesn’t even matter if you’ve had them for years.

The professional massage therapists at LA’s top-rated Massage Revolution Back & Neck Relief Center know what to do to offer you lasting relief from trigger point pain.

With over 3 dozen therapists on staff, most people experience incredible relief after just one session.

Accepting PPO insurance and Membership Savings are also available for the many among us who spend too much time in front of a screen and need more long lasting relief or regular tune-ups.

Don’t waste another minute of your life suffering needlessly.

Neuromuscular therapy and trigger point massage shows you the way to pain-free living.

Even before the pandemic, a lot of us were doing more than our fair share of sitting. Now with almost our whole life lived through a screen, the problem has only gotten worse. The human body was designed for movement, not slouching in a chair, and all this sitting around is taking its toll. Poor posture is a big problem when it comes to pain in back and neck muscles, and activating and exacerbating trigger points. But the point here isn’t to add to your stress. It’s to let you know there is a drug-free, surgery-free solution to your pain: trigger point massage therapy.

One typical posture problem is rounded shoulders and head too far forward as we lean toward the screen. Another one is head to the side to hold the phone against the shoulder. And then there’s the all too familiar slouching. Poor posture leads to tight, weak muscles on one side of the body and overdeveloped, stressed muscles on the other. Poor posture is one of the most common causes behind trigger point pain in back and neck muscles. Trigger points themselves are one of the biggest causes of pain and soreness in the body, and they can also be one of the
most miserable because of the way the pain spreads out.

Trigger points, aka muscle knots, can be imagined as tiny, cramped spots in muscles. They can cause stiffness and limit range of motion, and they can also be so painful that they make it hard to think about anything else. Trigger points can also refer, meaning send, pain elsewhere. For example, a trigger point in the neck can send pain shooting up into your head. This can sometimes make it hard to understand where the problem is coming from, but that’s where we come in.

Unlike pain pills that only offer a temporary fix, neuromuscular massage and trigger point therapy focus on finding and releasing the source of the problem. Often a single session is all it takes to experience incredible relief from trigger point pain. Depending on the size of the trigger points, how long you’ve had them, and if the cause is recurring (you probably can’t quit your job), regular sessions may be preferable. With 35+ massage therapists specially trained in neuromuscular massage, Massage Revolution’s Back & Neck Relief Center is the best place to go to solve your trigger point problems. We’re #1 rated in LA, and we’re here to help you get lasting relief from your pain.

Whether December is ever the most wonderful time of year is debatable, but this year we can safely say, No, it is not. But just because parties are canceled doesn’t always mean party-style eating is. Holiday baking is going stronger than ever and who can resist all those treats? Too many cookies are certainly one culprit behind tummy trouble, but what if you’ve been good and you’re still feeling the pain? Trigger points are tricky little critters and evidence of their work pops up in the most unexpected places, like in your gut. But don’t worry. You can find effective, lasting help without popping antacids all winter long. Trigger point massage therapy could be your ticket to relief.

Trigger points cause no end of trouble, including pain, stiffness and reduced range of motion. From TMJ to sciatica to pain in back and neck muscles, trigger points are the most common cause of body aches and pain. For all the trouble they cause, there is surprisingly little known about them. Even most doctors don’t really think of trigger points when people come to them in pain. While trigger points most commonly cause pain in back and neck muscles, they can stir up trouble anywhere, including in your digestive tract.

Trigger points appear from a variety of causes including things like poor posture and under- and overuse, but dietary choices, infections and psychological stress are other possible sources. The exact cause of the trigger point can’t always be determined, but most people just care about making the pain stop. While doctors are quick on the draw with the prescription pad, you may find trigger point massage therapy gives faster and longer-lasting results.

Massage Revolution’s Back & Neck Relief Center has over three dozen massage therapists trained in neuromuscular massage and trigger point therapy. We’re rated #1 in LA and we want to help you with trigger point pain, no matter where you’re feeling it. Most people enjoy incredible relief after a single session, but when it comes to long-standing pain or ongoing stress, regular sessions may be the best choice to deal with the problem. Either way, it’s important for you to know that there is a way to manage your issue without resorting to drugs or surgery. Give trigger point massage therapy a try. You could be pain-free by tonight.

We’ve had a lot of downs in 2020: less going in to the office, less travel, less face-to-face social interaction. But other things are up. For example, there’s been an exponential explosion of the wearing of sweatpants. We’ve also seen a sharp increase in things like back pain and headaches. While these last two aren’t something to get psyched about, there is a natural, drug-free way to manage them. If you’ve been getting more than your fair share of headaches lately, give trigger point massage therapy a try.

Trigger points can cause a lot of different symptoms: pain in back and neck muscles, ringing in the ears, jaw pain, and headaches. Trigger points come in two flavors: latent and active. Latent ones usually only hurt when you press on them, and often cause mild symptoms such as stiffness, tightness, and a general feeling of soreness, whereas active trigger points can feel like you’ve got a knife stuck in you. Trigger points can also send or refer pain elsewhere. Thus, a trigger point in your trapezius muscle can show up in the form of a headache.

Where do these little nasties come from? Trigger points can crop up for different reasons, but a couple of common ones are incorrect posture and sitting too long, especially when you toss in the added component of staring at a screen. But even if you don’t know where your trigger points came from, you can find relief from them with neuromuscular massage and trigger point therapy.

Massage Revolution’s Back & Neck Relief Center is LA’s #1 rated massage clinic. We are open, ready and willing to help relieve your headache pain, and any other issues you may have caused by trigger points. The usual feedback we get from clients after their first session is one of incredible relief, but in the case of headaches, eye strain and the unavoidable screen time that often causes them, regular sessions may be your best option. No matter what you decide, you do have better, more natural choices than popping pain pills all day long. Find relief today with a session of trigger point massage therapy.

Even pre-pandemic, there was a major spike in repetitive strain injuries (RSIs) corresponding to the increased use of computers, mobile devices and work-related stress. According to OSHA, RSIs are the country’s most common occupational health problem. They’re also the most costly. RSIs affect hundreds of thousands of Americans every year at an annual cost of more than $20 billion in workers compensation. Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is one of the most common forms of RSI. CTS can be a frustrating and downright debilitation condition, and unfortunately, a lot of doctors don’t know how to deal with it. They may prescribe drugs or recommend surgery, but there is a 100% natural and effective way to deal with CTS: trigger point massage therapy.

Let’s first define our terms. Trigger points are microscopic cramps in muscles that cause stiffness, pain and reduced mobility. They frequently cause pain in back and neck muscles, but trigger points can send a zinger anywhere. A trigger point in your neck, back or shoulder can create pain in your arm, wrist or hand.

A common cause of trigger points is repetitive motion. But while the exact cause of CTS isn’t always clear, you certainly know when you’ve got shooting pain in your arm or hand. Doctors are often at a loss about what to do besides whip out the prescription pad, but there is a better way to deal with the problem. It’s called trigger point massage therapy.

The neuromuscular massage therapists at The Back & Neck Relief Center are rated number one in Los Angeles. We’re here to help you with carpal tunnel syndrome, and any other problem caused by trigger points including but not limited to pain in back and neck muscles, migraines, even general fatigue. While most of our clients experience amazing relief after just one session, when it comes to repetitive injuries, you may prefer to schedule regular appointments to stay on top of the issue. Whichever way you decide to go, know that you have a drug-free, surgery-free option to handle your problem. With trigger point massage therapy, you can set yourself free from pain. Call us today.

The vast majority of people will experience back pain during their life. About one out of every three people say that low back pain impacts their everyday activities, including sleep. Sciatica is a common cause of low back pain, but did you know that trigger points are frequently the cause of sciatic pain? But there’s good news: You don’t necessarily need drugs or surgery to deal with
the problem. Trigger point massage therapy offers a natural way to relieve your sciatica.

Trigger points are the result of tiny knots in muscles that cause stiffness and pain. They are commonly found pain in back and neck muscles, but they can show up anywhere, from your head to your toes. Trigger points are also infamous for creating trouble in the form of referred pain or pain you experience in a different location from the trigger point itself. Doctors mostly ignore trigger points, but if you’ve got active ones, you’re not going to be able to.

Trigger points sometimes develop in muscles as a result of injury or repetitive motion, but they often occur as a result of postural strain, such as from sitting for too long. This can put stress on muscles near the sciatic nerve. The piriformis muscle is located in the pelvis and it can get tight from too much butt-in-chair time, pinching the sciatic nerve and activating trigger points.
Because the sciatic nerve is the longest in the body, running from the low back all the way down to the feet, when it’s irritated, you could feel pain just about anywhere in the lower half of your body.

To make things even more complicated, trigger points in the low back, hips and legs can mimic sciatic pain, making it very difficult for you to tell what’s really going on. This is why it’s good to talk to professionals, such as the neuromuscular massage therapists at Massage Revolution.

The Back & Neck Relief Center in Manhattan Beach is the number one massage therapy clinic in Los Angeles. We have dozens of massage therapists, all specially trained in neuromuscular massage and trigger point therapy, to help you with sciatica or any other issue caused by trigger points. Most people experience incredible relief after a single session while others opt to schedule regular appointments to stay on top of the problem. Either way, a pain-free existence is within your grasp. Don’t suffer a minute longer than you need to. We’re here to help. Give us a call today.

Back pain. Just about all of us has experienced it. The pain can hit you out of the blue and stop you cold. You might have been innocently putting on a shoe, or maybe you were just reaching for a box of cereal. However and whenever it hits you, low back pain is no fun. It’s also no joke. The vast majority of us — 80% — will experience low back pain in our lifetime, and at least a quarter of us has suffered from it in the last 3 months. Pain pills aren’t something you want to get hooked on, and surgery is even less appealing. The natural solution to your pain problem is trigger point massage therapy.

The year 2020 is an apt number for what’s been going on: 2 much sitting, 0 idea what the future holds, 2 much bad news, and pretty much 0 fun. All these extremes stress the body and can cause trigger points to flare up. Trigger points are little-known trouble makers that inflict a lot of pain. Although they are frequently cause pain in back and neck muscles, they can appear anywhere from your head to your toes. Trigger points can also create a problem known as referred pain which is pain you experience nowhere near the trigger point itself. This makes it even more difficult to figure out what’s wrong because you can rub the spot all day long and it doesn’t go away.

Add in the lockdown and reduced access to help and now you’ve really got yourself some trouble. Some things you can do at home to help alleviate back and neck pain include not sitting for long stretches, rotating activities, limiting screen time and exposure to media, drinking plenty of water and getting adequate sleep. You may not know exactly what caused your pain in back and neck muscles, but the truth is, it doesn’t really matter. The only thing that matters is getting rid of it. That’s where we come in.

Massage Revolution’s Back & Neck Relief Center in Manhattan Beach is Los Angeles’ #1 massage therapy center. We have a team of 40+ highly-trained tmassage therapists ready and waiting to help you alleviate your problem. Just a single session of trigger point therapy or neuromuscular massage can have you moving better today. Why wait? Call now.

For most of us, neck pain has reared its ugly head more than once.

In fact, there are estimates that anywhere from one-in-ten to one-in-five people will experience an episode of neck pain in a given year.

Though some studies report that between 33% and 65% of these people will recover within twelve months, many individuals will experience either a relapse of their neck pain or their neck pain will become a chronic health issue.

So what can a Neuromuscular Massage Therapist do about it?

The answer is simple: Soft-Tissue Therapy Care!

Neuromuscular Massage care is the most effective form of treatment for lasting neck/headache pain relief, and many studies note that neck pain is the second most common reason people seek massage care (back pain is number one).

There’s also some great exercises that are highly effective as well.

For this scenario, here’s a great STRETCH option to do every 30-60 minutes (yes, SET A TIMER)…

1) Tuck the chin (and keep it tucked)
2) Reach with the right hand over the top of the head and gently pull the right ear toward the shoulder while the left hand reaches down to the floor (as if to pick up a dollar bill)
3) Next, nod the head (as if gesturing “yes”) multiple times
4) Follow this by shaking the head left to right (as if gesturing “no”)

Repeat on the opposite side.

Here is an exercise to STRENGTHEN the neck muscles too…
1) Tuck in the chin while looking straight ahead
2) Place the back of your second and third fingers under your chin and nod (up/down) against mild resistance
3) Repeat five to ten times SLOWLY
4) Repeat steps one through three with head/neck flexed forward and then again backwards (looking towards the ceiling).

Repeat multiple times each day.

The KEY is to set the timer to remind you to do these!

If you have significant forward head posture and rounded shoulders, your Neuromuscular Therapist can show you some additional important exercises, but this will be a great start for you to gain control over that chronic, recurring neck pain that you’ve been putting up with for far too long!
